We are delighted to offer you a new, bigger and even better series of Leadership Development Day opportunities if you are currently working in the cultural and creative industries or are thinking about doing so. Following the huge demand for the first series, we are now delivering up to 30 Leadership Development Day opportunities across the UK starting in September 2007 and running through until March 2008.
Our new series of Leadership Development Days is primarily designed to support and enhance the leadership potential of black, Asian and ethnic minority people, disabled people and people working in micro-businesses (1-5 employees) in the cultural and creative industries.
The feedback we got from the first series was that we should also develop a more advanced Leadership Development Day so you will see that we are offering 10 days of what we are calling LDDplus. These days are intended for those who have previously attended a Leadership Development Day or those who have been in middle or senior management or leadership roles for a little while. You can quickly see our recruitment criteria by clicking here.
This website gives you more information about what we can offer you and guide you through the on-line application process.
These Leadership Development Days form a strand of the broader Cultural Leadership Programme which is targeted at emerging leaders, people mid-way in their careers and cultural entrepreneurs throughout the UK. It is part of a two-year, £12 million initiative to promote excellence in management and leadership within the cultural sector. Since June 2006, the three sector lead organisations, Arts Council England, Creative & Cultural Skills and the Museums, Libraries & Archives Council have been charged with taking this work forward through the Cultural Leadership Programme - a unique cross-sector collaboration.
"It truly is a fantastic programme that I would unreservedly recommend to even the most seminar/workshop wary professional. I actually feel that I can see a clear way forward - nothing drastic or even earth shattering - I can just see clearer. Most, if not all of us found it a genuinely refreshing space. A fun, focused and realistically pitched day. A resource that has been long overdue in the creative and cultural sector."
